Transparency in Financial and Commercial Law

The issue of transparency is closely related to transaction costs for individual market players. It is reasonable to assume that greater transparency contributes to reducing transaction costs and to strengthening mutual trust between participants in legal relationships. The aim of this section is to offer a space for contributions and reflections mapping legal developments in the field of financial law and commercial law in relation to institutes enhancing transparency. In particular, the institutes of transparency of public registers, financial statements with regard to the principle of protection of good faith, mandatory disclosure of information to tax administrators with regard to the fight against tax evasion, mandatory disclosure of information with regard to the operation on financial markets , etc. Contributions focusing on both legislative developments and application practice are welcome.
