Law and Technology in the 21st Century through the Lens of European Law

The session will focus on the complex and dynamic relationship between law and technology in the contemporary world. Key issues related to the impact of technological advances on legal regulation, new challenges in the digital age, the future of regulation, and the ethics of information and communication technologies will be discussed. In particular, the session will focus on the legal aspects of European law, as these regulations cause the so-called Brussels Effect. Contributions will focus on the regulation of information and communication technologies in various areas such as intellectual property law, cybersecurity, digital services, privacy or e-government services or artificial intelligence.
