The Influence of Supranational Judicial Authorities on National Private Law
Private law, as a dynamically developing area of law, does not develop in isolation, but is influenced by many factors. An important element acting in the process of development of national private law are transnational judicial bodies, especially the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights. The decision-making practice of these courts in the interpretation and application of national law is undoubtedly of increasing importance nowadays. The aim of the chosen topic is to focus on the influence of transnational judicial bodies on the current form of private law in specific issues and contexts. Contributions concerning not only Slovak private law but also foreign legal regulations and contributions of a comparative nature are welcome.
